About NJHS

National Junior Honors Society (NJHS) focuses on pillars of leadership, scholarship, service, character and citizenship.

NJHS members provide peer math tutoring Monday - Thursday in the Kraemer Library (3:30pm-4:30pm). Students who attend will earn extra credit for their Math and/or AVID class! Join us!

NJHS Information & Application

7th grade students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher will be invited to apply for National Junior Honor Society. Students will receive an email with a link to join a Google Classroom. This Google Classroom will have an application assignment; students will need to make a copy, complete the 5 questions, and then submit their copy. Please reach out to Mr. Stanley if you have any questions [email protected]

Take the time to reflect: before choosing to apply, students should determine their level of commitment. Students accepted into NJHS make a commitment to academic success (GPA 3.6 or higher) and they do a total of 20 community service hours over the course of the 8th grade year. NJHS also holds MANDATORY meetings periodically during PRIDE. These meetings focus on leadership development activities, community service opportunities, and general announcements.

Being a part of NJHS is not a HUGE extra responsibility but there is a level of commitment if you decide to apply. Kraemer offers so many programs and clubs, consider your current involvement and decide whether or not applying for NJHS is the best choice for you. Is this an opportunity that excites you? What other commitments will you have during PRIDE time? Are you willing to serve your community for twenty hours during your 8th grade year?
